Where Colorado Springs’s Runners Go for Foot and Ankle Care
Colorado Springs is a paradise for running and runners (well, at least most of the year). We have so many beautiful natural trails to run, as well as places to take our personal bests to new heights—quite literally!
The running community around here is great, and so are the big events that bring in people from all over. The Colfax Marathon in Denver is a tour through so many fun sites, while The Pikes Peak Ascent and Marathon provides a rugged challenge that’s truly unique to our area.
As runners take on new challenges and work toward new personal bests, they want to ensure their feet and ankles are up to the challenge. An injury—whether from overuse or an accident—can put a big crimp in one’s plans and goals.
Fast and Thorough Treatment
McVay Foot & Ankle is dedicated to helping runners in Colorado Springs and throughout our great region recover as quickly and safely as possible from any sports injuries or pains they receive on their paths to PBs.
From sprains to stress fractures to plantar fasciitis to black toenails, any foot or ankle problem a runner has needs to be addressed well. And, with our doctors, these problems are approached with the experience and understanding of a fellow runner.
Runners of All Levels Are Welcome!
Great podiatric care for runners is not just about treating problems as they arise, but helping to prevent problems before they happen.
If you are a beginning runner, we recommend you read our Beginner’s Guide to Running. It has some great tips that can help, and is perfectly free!
But even if you are a more experienced runner, that does not mean there aren’t more ways to safeguard and improve. We are happy to discuss training tips—as well as treatments like custom orthotics—that can help you move better and keep your risk of running injuries much lower.
Dr. Jeremy McVay, Dr. Tiffany Liu and our staff are here to help runners of all ages and performance levels. To schedule an appointment with us, call (719) 266-5000 or fill out the contact form on this page.
